Meeting place: The "Look-Out", North Coast Road

Meeting time: 6:00am SHARP

The rating of this hike is (5) Moderately Challenging

Embrace the ambience, sit on rocks and reflect or take a leisurely swim. This beach is the 4th of (9) beaches along North Coast that is situated on route to Maracas Bay. A cozy beach front and overall infectious ambience awaits a small group at Peechon. The 35 minutes trail starts on North Coast Road, then downhill through natural forest.

The adventure seeker could stand on a ledge, which is about 35 feet above sea level and safely plunge into inviting waters of the Caribbean Sea.

A small waterfall provides an opportunity for a shower before returning on an uphill trek.

Duration to Peechon Cove downhill : 35 minutes

Duration from Balata Bay back uphill : 1 hour

Attire & General Information

Wear long/short trousers......your choice

Wear long/short sleeve tops. No sleeveless.

Wear hiking shoes/trainers with good grips under the soles. No slippers or sandals please.

Use a backpack thereby keeping both hands totally free.

Bring along mosquito repellent.

Bring a change of clothing which will be left in the vehicles.

Important Notice - Re: COVID-19

Due to the state of  this pandemic the Corona-virus epidemic, in order to maintain my usual high standard of service on to my fellow hikers and fitness enthusiasts, for this "Hike Funatic Event", no more than "(15) fifteen hikers" will be entertained whatsoever. Safety, and security is NTITT's utmost prime focus and of course, your well-being will be monitored every step of the way throughout the duration of the expedition.

Please read the guidelines carefully that will be the order of the day:

  1. At the meeting point, you are to remain in your respective vehicles. I will entertain each of you by the car window.

  2. A 15 minute grace will be given for late comers. At 6:15am, we depart the Look-Out to our destination. The objective here is to "START EARLY AND FINISH EARLY".

  3. Social distancing will be the order of the day throughout our hike to the pool and return.

  4. Wear your face mask if you so desire.
